If you have a moment, and could answer some question for me I would be enlightened. Who are some of your role models in photography (favorite photographers, etc.)? What hobbies of yours have you given up on? Thank you so much!

Woah, thank you very much! And yes, sure. When I started out with photography my greatest role model was Lara Jade and Joey Lawrence. Both very young and very talented. They have quite different photography styles, but I was very influenced and inspired by both of them. Later on Nirrimi Firebrace really fascinated me (and still does). Likewise I have been influenced by Patrick Demarchelier, Hedi Slimane and Rankin.

I have thought a lot about your question regarding hobbies. I simply don’t know. I never felt that I had to give up on anything, because I always wanted photography more. It never really felt like a compromise to me. However it is fun to think about what kind of hobby I would have taken up, if I hadn’t started photography. Life takes interesting turns.

Anonymous: what sort of camera equipment do you use? like lenses and dslr? did you bring a couple of lenses when you traveled to asia? it seems like you've used a wide-angle lens? 16mm? maybe? I'm just curious.

I shoot with my Canon 5d mrk II - and yes, neat guess. I travelled with a 16-35 mm in Asia and loved working with it!

You are just way too modest ;-) In other words, you could send them your portfolio first and then they'll see why they need to hire you :-) Be like yo Nat Geo, do you know who I am? That's right, you better take notice, Gretatu takin' over the world one photo at a time!
